Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs

Minister for Economic Affairs Schramböck to honor Austrian business executives for their merits.

On 2 April 2019, the Minister for Economic Affairs, Margarete Schramböck, presented decorations and national awards to Austrian business executives during a festive act at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs. Their many years of work in different industries and areas have earned the awardees this recognition.

One of the awardees was Peter Franzmair, the former CEO of EDITEL, who received the Decoration of Honor in Silver. During his career spanning more than three decades, Mr. Franzmair has strongly contributed to the development of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in Austria and CEE countries. In the past 10 years, he was fully committed to this task as the CEO of EDITEL Austria.

The EDI services provider with international operations that also operates the EDI service eXite currently works for thousands of clients, offering them EDI solutions for supply chain optimization. The company has subsidiaries and franchises in more than 20 countries in central and eastern Europe. More than 300 million transactions are exchanged per year via the EDI service eXite.

“I congratulate all of today’s awardees and I thank them for strengthening Austria as a business hub in a variety of industries,“ said Margarete Schramböck, the Minister for Economic Affairs.
