Linux System Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Engineer, who will be responsible for managing, monitoring and further development of our IT infrastructure. Ideally you should have experience working with Red Hat/CentOS Linux, high availability environments, TCP/IP networking and IT automation.

Your responsibilities

• Manage, document, improve and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure
• Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of our Datacenter & Cloud based systems
• Implement and maintain automations to streamline management of our IT infrastructure (Ansible)
• Analyze and improve the security of our IT Systems (SIEM/SOC) to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
• Close cooperation with our development and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance of our applications and meeting solution requirements
• Evaluation and assessment of new technologies and further implementation in our environment

Your background

• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, University) or several years of professional experience
• Extensive experience working with (Redhat/CentOS) Linux, TCP/IP networking and high availability concepts
• Solid knowledge of scripting and IT automation/infrastructure as code and Docker
• Experience with Proxy (HAProxy, Squid and Dante)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, Orchestration/Kubernetes, Nagios, Rest, SOAP WS, ActiveMQ, Jira/Confluence is an advantage
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Good proficiency in English. German is a plus

Remuneration

The minimum salary on a full-time basis for a Linux System Engineer according to the IT collective agreement is EUR 3,455 per month for 38.5 h/week. However, remuneration in line with the market is a matter of course for us. Together we will determine an attractive gross salary.
