EDITEL strengthens its position in the CR and Central and Eastern Europe

EDITEL CZ is announcing two major organizational changes in the management of the company which took place on January 1st, 2015, with the objective of strengthening the company’s position in the domestic market as well as Central and Eastern Europe.

Ing. Tibor Šata, MBA, CEO of EDITEL CZ and EDITEL HU, was appointed director of international operations, thus adding to his current managerial duties. Aside from managing current activities in the Czech Republic and Hungary, Tibor will concentrate primarily on the growth of EDITEL in Central Europe. In addition to the aforementioned countries, the company will have a presence in Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia.

Tibor Šata began his professional career in 1997 at HSBC Bank plc. in Prague, predominantly handling banking operations. Beginning in 2000, he worked for 8 years at Euronet Worldwide Inc. in various management roles, gaining extensive experience in the area of electronic financial transactions. From 2006 - 2007 he studied at the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, where he received his MBA. Since 2008 he has been the CEO of EDITEL CZ and EDITEL HU.

Tibor says: “I am very appreciative of the fact that for the past 6 years I have had the opportunity to take part in the fundamental strategic changes which EDITEL has undergone in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. This has provided extremely valuable experience which I will put to good use in the strategic development of the company in new markets in Central and Eastern Europe. I am pleased that the management of our parent company, EDITEL AT, has given us this opportunity for further growth on a broader international scale. It is undoubtedly a major milestone as well as a great professional and personal challenge to which I am very much looking forward.”

Ing. Jan Mrvík, sales and marketing director of EDITEL CZ, is moving to the position of managing director of the company. His current duties in the area of sales, marketing and partner cooperation will be expanded to implementation of the company’s strategy in the Czech market, management of internal and external operations, and management of project and service deliveries, including the service center. In this position he will report to the CEO of EDITEL CZ.

Jan Mrvík has been working in IT since 1997, when he began his professional career at PIKE ELECTRONIC handling the development and implementation of control software for a sheet metal and iron rolling mill. In this position, he was entrusted with implementing projects both in Europe and elsewhere such as Brazil and China. He then began working at the Tieto Czech Company in 2011 and came to EDITEL CZ in 2013 as the manager responsible for developing new business segments. Jan has extensive experience from sales and management positions in international companies dealing with large-scale IT projects and deliveries of comprehensive IT solutions.

And what is Jan’s primary goal in his new position? “For over 20 years EDITEL has been developing electronic communications in the Czech Republic and for many years has been a leading provider of EDI on the domestic market. This leading position must not only be maintained, but further expanded – people always expect more from the best one in the business. Being number one requires commitment. Providing top professional services is standard, but one must also work with a vision, define and introduce new trends, not just respond to the current market situation. I feel this to be the task of a true leader - to trailblaze through uncharted territory and find approaches yet to be discovered… I would therefore primarily like to focus on broadening the scope of the company into new areas less traditional for EDI such as fashion or pharmaceuticals. At EDITEL we have a truly exceptional collective of capable, experienced and hard-working people. I am therefore looking forward to seeing my plans and ideas come to fruition while working with this team."
