AGM

The company
For the past 45 years, AGM has been a trusted supplier to the HORECA industry and currently has 900 employees at 19 AGM stores throughout Austria. The comprehensive selection at AGM stores caters to restaurants, hotels and large-scale consumers. AGM believes in offering certified quality and supremely fresh products and also focuses on regional products, seasonal fruit and vegetables and Austrian as well as international beef products.

An EDI pioneer in the F&B industry

AGM was one of the first companies to support the development of EDI standards for automated procurement of goods services for the HORECA industry. Many businesses in the industry rely on EDI to make their order processes more efficient and more cost-effective.

Exchanging order data in real time

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is also used at AGM. It allows the company to efficiently deliver its goods as needed to its clients, which include Hogast affiliates, Sodexo, Sutterlüty or Österreichische Mensen as well as some privately owned hotels. All order, delivery and invoice data are exchanged via eXite®, the EDI platform by EDITEL. This logistics information, ranging from electronic article master data, orders, and despatch advices to electronic invoice data, is safely and reliably transferred in real time via eXite®. This translates into quick order processing and happy clients.

Our daily procurements of goods processes are unthinkable without Electronic Data Interchange. To us, EDI and the connection to the EDI platform eXite® ultimately guarantees that our deliveries to our clients will be made on time and on an as-needed basis.

Article data pertaining to the EU food information regulation

The same is true for information relevant for the EU food information regulation. Ever since this regulation became effective on November 13, 2014, food-related businesses are required to provide accurate and comprehensive product data to their business partners, including name, net quantity, place of provenance, ingredients list and allergen indications. AGM also transfers this information automatically via EDI (PRICAT) to its business partners and thereby ensures that data is always fully available and updated.

Assistance for ongoing business operations

In addition to providing comprehensive EDI communication, EDITEL also assists AGM when it comes to harmonizing its user processes. This allows both AGM and its business partners to correctly process electronic data in their corporate ERP systems. Ultimately, all order, delivery and invoicing processes work smoothly day in and day out, which guarantees efficient collaboration for many years to come.
