eXite®: more than just data exchange

data cable connection

One connection – many possibilities with eXite®

The data hub eXite® is well known for enabling worldwide and secure EDI communication with all business partners. And yet, there is much more to EDITEL’s EDI service than meets the eye! One case in point is…

…that eXite® is also great for searching for documents!

This is made possible by the fact that eXite® keeps a complete record of every single data transfer. Our eXite® online services allow clients to always have a full overview of which documents were sent or received at any given time. There is the option of searching for specific documents and transactions for any period of time. It is even possible to link individual business transactions via document references, which allows users to see if data are still missing somewhere. For instance, users can check if there is a matching despatch advice for every order and an invoice for every despatch advice. In addition, we have e-mail reports about the delivery status of all messages, which gives users an even better overview. All activities can be monitored on a daily basis and followed in real time using a smart dashboard reminiscent of an airplane cockpit.

…that it is used across borders

When it comes to the various areas of application for information exchange, these have long since gone beyond traditional Order2Cash documents. This ranges from communication with the authorities, as in the case of invoices to public agencies (the federal government and BBG, the Federal Procurement Agency), to the reporting of financial transactions as part of the MiFIR/MiFID process all the way to processing medical device approvals via the FDA, the American regulatory authority. One would assume that one would also need to contact different people to make these different connections happen. And yet, there is no need to do that. In practice, all of the above takes place via a single connection: eXite®!

…that it makes the exchange of master data easy

Another major field of application of eXite® is the exchange of master data to comply with the Food Information for Consumers Regulation. In collaboration with GS1 Sync, the master data service by GS1 Austria, trustworthy master data can be exchanged between suppliers and retailers. All data can also be integrated directly into a company’s own business processes via a data interface to eXite®, which makes things particularly secure and reliable.

…that eXite® speaks all languages!

Companies usually have different internal data structures. This is due to the fact that many different IT and ERP systems are used. When it comes to EDI, we could say that different languages are spoken. Even this is not a problem for eXite®, because there is a magic solution called “mapping.” This means that the EDI service provider harmonizes structures and relevant content to allow for all involved parties to truly understand each other.

…that you are on the safe side with eXite®.

A fail-safe infrastructure and seamless recording of all transactions, logins, and other activities at the high-security center operated by our technology partner T-Systems ensure maximum security and traceability for the exchange of business data. Even in the event of a major power outage, eXite® would continue to run in the protected data center thanks to a backup power supply. In addition, eXite® has a highly available Internet connection and can therefore continue to communicate without any problems even in the event of Internet failures. If the Internet happens to be down, eXite® will still be “on the air” and will transfer data as soon as the business partner is back online.

…that eXite® protects the environment.

Thanks to eXite®’s technology and standardization services, countless processes can now be handled without the need for any paper. After all, every sheet of paper that does not get printed benefits our environment. The fact that physical business documents are not shipped across the world in postal trucks or vans, but only the data, also proves to be very climate friendly.

…that there are people behind eXite®!

As a result of the ever-expanding digitalization of our lives, people can oftentimes at best turn to machines if they have questions. Luckily, things are very different at EDITEL: a large team of highly qualified people is behind eXite® and provides personalized customer assistance. Our team will always go the extra mile for our clients.

…that eXite® is a true jack-of-all-trades!
